My first gig

I went along to see Violent Minx last night at the Sandringham in Newtown.

I took only my 50mm f1.8 but found zooming with my feet very difficult in a tightly packed crowd. I won't even mention the adversities of trying to actually compose shots :P

I've never done any low light shooting like this before so I'm keen for some C&C and tips from others as to what sort of settings you use. I was constantly fiddling with the ISO, shutter speed, aperture and manual flash power as I moved around to try and get a happy medium between THIS:

Do these shots work ?? I like the last one as it frames the lead singer, although others might thing the surround oof objects are too distracting ?
