Martini Anyone?

Thanks for checking these out......i really tried hard to work some tones with these, have i achieved that fashion/glam look?

Dan - these are good, but not your greatest we've seen here.

#1 - The red light distracts too much for me in this shot and I find her cut off arms a bit distractive too. The bokeh though is nice.

#2 - Different, unique in fact but it doesn't really grab me.

#3 - Contemplative and kinda seductive, again nice bokeh (which lens btw?). I'd prefer to see a little more of her eyes rather than her just looking down. her make up is also a bit intense but it's a fashion shoot I guess.

#4 - My fave out of this series. Did u PP the refection in? If not, very clever composition. I think the red background and shelving serves as a functional backdrop in this shot. Now all you need is a bottle of gin in the right bottom foreground and it could be a monster poster advert!

in terms of the ps work and the finishing of the images its your best work to date
you have a ver nice tone going there

while they are all great shots
what caught my eye was the difference in skin tone between the top and bottom half of the second shot... I prefer the top toning
I think you will still need light falloff to the lower part but maybe you could run a gradual change from the lighter tone to the darker over the lower portion, more like the last shot

The 2nd shot is almost there for me, with a few niggles holding it back.

As Firsty said, the skin toning varies too much. The pose doesn't work quite right - hands are floating in nowhere and lack of eye contact (as in all of the first three) diminishes it. The uneven background also bother me, also as the foreground melts into the background on the left.

All that said, I think I can see what you had in mind, and as I said it almost works.

#4 is similar for me, it almost works but is held back by a few flaws IMO. I love the red background and don't mind the reflection, but the lost detail in dress and hair (both pure black on my monitor) and chopped legs bother me. Again, I like the shot becasue I think I can see your intention, and it's almost there
