So I was down at the beach early this morning - took this shot, came home and did some simple PP. Is this just 'another' footprint shot, something more or less? I'd be grateful for some feedback on this image. Good, bad or ugly:

concept is good but i think what would improve is to shoot at a slightly lower angle and have a bit more DOF so the first maybe 2 foot prints are in focus, then it slowly disappears into the background/horizon.

As Piro said, but i feel the sand texture lets it down a bit. Looks like concrete. Too flat and not enough wavy stuff.

Good to see you exploring and experimenting though.

I like the sand texture, and agree that a greater DOF would help the shot. Bringing the distant sand into focus might help the overall photo texture.

Perfect DOF. it draws you into the first couple of foot prints, but because the blur (bokeh?) of the other footprints are still visible it draws you away to the top of the frame.
nicely done :)

I like the texture of the sand, can really imagine the feel of the hard wet stuff :) cool how you can see the different depths within the footsteps through the contrast within each shadow

The only thing that bugs me Geof, is the little sprays of sand beside the prints. Difficult to avoid though.

Geoff, I like what you have done here. I think, compared to the 'standard' footprint in sand shot, you have found a different kind of sand (compared to the normal golden, smooth sand). I like the DOF.
