Post processing to add feeling

Fashion photography is where I want to be. I've noticed that in fashion, post production plays a huge role.

This shot started with a vision, communicated that to the model and makeup artist. Location scouting. Then little things like filling in the shadows with a flash bounced of replica gold coated board. Then post processing to finish up.

Tear it apart! :)

i like what you have done, but it feels like too much of the model has been lost in the shadows

since I know there is some detail in her right arm I would bring some back so that the hand isn't just floating away from her body (or at least blend out the harsh shadow line)
plus a little detail on the dark side of her face... keep the eye in shadow but a hint of cheek bone and just under the eyebrow should do it

The 2nd one is the PP'ed version right?

I personally like the first one. :P

What focal length were you shooting at? her hand looks a bit dis-proportionate to the rest of her body.

Its hard to tell from this small version but keep an eye on posterisation. This can happen when you over process something and it will really be evident when you get it printed at any reasonable size.

Great work!
