great shots Mark, all of them capturing the local scenery
![]() All are sharp, have decent contrast and offer insight to the local community.

Gotta say I love the title ![]() #1 - the weakest of the shots her for me. Potentially it's a great image - expsoure and colour are spot on for example - but it's let down for me by the glider being too close to the edge of the pic #2 - normally I'd be troubled by the vertical crop on this scene, but it works superbly here. Plus you've balanced the light fantastically so we see the rear of the surfer lit along with the rest of what is a quite bright scene #3 - This is a well done story shot. It would have been tempting to focus on the girl, but this is a more interesting shot as framed here. Peter

#3 is the pick here, and for exactly the reasons that Peter has stated.

Thanks for the comments everyone.
Peter - 70mm just wasn't wide enough for the first shot, every time I look at it I wish I had put the 50mm on. I cheated a bit with the second draging the magic lasso around the surfer on a copy of the background layer and increased the exposure just a smidge. Here is another one from the beach, some of your might recognise her from the Lucky Lenscap post by Nnnnsic. Oh and Chris, no Dt's here. Just an inability to concentrate on the job at hand. This shot was way over exposed, ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Mark
