At first I was going to trash this image, but then taking subsequent reviews I quite like the rushed attempt to capture the moment. Since the guy was running, having a shaky image also emphasised it.

Very definitely have some appeal, but I think you'll find they are an accquired taste

Hey Wayne, I just re-read my post and I certainly wasn't at my most co-herrent, jetlag is a bitch was wide awake in the middle of the night. While I said it was an accquired taste, It certainly appeals to me, and definitely worthy of posting in CC

not a fan of B&W at all and i seriously don't know why people convert their images to B&W.
But your photos really suit it ! It actually makes me feel the picture, of the busy street and people

oh, ive been staring at the pics for quite a long time too. lol

#1 is a standout for me. It captures the movement and bustle of the scene very well. There is a person right of centre (mouth open) who acts as a point of stillness around whom the movement is happening. I think it is his inclusion that makes the photo.

#2 has no point of stillness and as such, the blur reads to me as blur rather than movement. It is a lesser photo IMO.

i like number 1 a lot more, i think 2 is a bit too blurry.

Sorry i dont like them at all....there appears to be no focal point, even in a image as busy as these you still need some stillness for eyes to lock onto, then absorb the chaos that surounds, they look more like camera shake, than a true attempt at capturing motion/movement....Just my humble opinion.

Agreed that this isn't to everyone's liking but at least it's generated varied opinions

Actually one thing i have just picked up in your image 1, there is a guy in a wheelchair....now he has NO movement and this is a huge parradox that makes this image....i like it now.
