You've captured those well. I particularly like the final one from side on as you get a better view of how much air they are getting.

These are pretty good.

I like 3 and 4 especially. 3 is a good angle. Straight on, and the car is straight too.

As mentioned, 4 shows a good perspective of how much air is achieved. The only thing that could improve this shot, was if you had been on a slightly different angle, and managed to avoid the level crossing sign ... but such is life I suppose.

The evo is the winner here.

It looks like it wants to keep heading upward 8) I can almost hear the 4g63 bouncing off the limiter :D

I have just got back from a week in Melbourne and have missed the entire event. Oh well always next year.

Rainey, My pick here is #1 (and I'm a Subie fan). I prefer the whole composition of this shot over the next two and it has nice DOF.

Shame about both the horizontal pole and the crossing sign in the last one - seem to combine to make it a bit to busy and this distracts me from the the main subject - just MHO.

All good shots though and well captured.

Cheers, Mick :) :) :)

Thanks everyone! It feels great to get such a good response. :D

That spot was awesome to spectatate from, all I needed to do was sit there and reel off a few shots, the cars did all the hard work. There was plenty of damage around the landing point at the end of the stage.

Next year most definately David! 8)

I hate them all.

I hate them cause I would like to photograph the Targa and they give it to you guys down there on tiny island!

Great shots, that first one is uber sharp and nicely contrasted, with great timing!

Number to likewise, I like also like the bit of 'angle' added, and the heat haze coming off under the engine, nice!!!

The flying EVO is also very good. Great timing to get the vehicle so high in the air. Did you change the angle for this one and go closer to the ground?

Nice panning in 4, pity about the sign, but you can't control everything. Ironic that the car is 'flying' so well, given the sponsor!

Nice shots all round mate!

Hehe Raskill, what a great excuse for a holiday next year then! 8)

You pointed out a couple of interesting points, I believe the Evo shot was taken from further back (therefore lower) than the others and that may be why its height has a bit more impact.

I also liked you observation about the flying red Porsche, and the plane vinyl on the side of it! Haha, I didn't notice that.

Thanks for the nice comments. :)

That shot is the money bringer (lol), it is actually of Tony Sullens, the overall winner of the Modern category. I think the subtle angle works well too.

Be careful here Rainey, Perfect prints has the license to sell images from Targa, including back to the competitors/family/friends. Before selling anything from the event I would check with Octagon first.

Lol, that was a joke! I don't sell my images anyway!
