Not a place that many tourist in Thailand would visit, but the landscapes there certainly are worth visiting, and this is coming from a non-landscape person :-). This shot was taken at sunset. I'm in 2 minds as to whether this image works and how the grass fits in but I have a few more from this series and will compare them.

Thanks for looking

It works

One can almost feel the evening warmth and the smell of the tropics - love it.

I like it, the grass works fine to my eye.

I think if you cropped our the bright sky (I did on my screen with a sheet of paper) it draws my attention more to the subject, the houses and what looks like one of those posts they perch on to fish. I dont think the bright sky helps because it is not reflected in the forground water.
There must be some amazing photo opportunities in this area given this example, great shot , lets see some more.

Cheers Rick.

P.S. A shot taken a bit later with a few lights on in the houses would be magic, if only we could be at the right place at the right time.

For me the grass helps put the photo in context. If anything, I would like to see more of the bank.

Like Rick,I prefer it with much of the bright sky cropped out.

Thanks for the comments, all. I have a few versions of this shot, taken at various time with various amount of grass in foreground. Will get to them later.

Cheers
