Fantastic shots you've posted here mate.
About the overexposure, which metering are you using?

Fantastic! All of them!
#3 is just, well I can't put words to it, this is a fabulous shot, the angle, the attitude, the closeness to the surface. I love it!
Well done! That 300 f2.8 certainly does a nice job, obviously you helped a little bit

thanks guys
as for the 300 2.8 i walked past one of the camera shops here in adelaide and saw it in the window and seeing it was across the road from work i walked past a couple a times a week dreaming until i had enough coin to take it, well worth it as well.
as for metering kyle, i was using spot metering on saturday which is when i took that shot, i noticed when i got home, so changed it on sunday back to matrix which helped and noticed it when using iso200 so stuck with iso 100 for the rest of the day, just something i am going to have to over come.

Did you score the VR version of the lens?
I found that average (nikons matrix) metering gives me the best balance between highlights and shadows these days...

Nice. I'm looking to get back on two wheels and #3 has me about to go out and buy a sports bike instead of the more practical machines I've been looking at... Top shot.
Man I'd love to be able to lean a bike that far!

I'm planning to see the V8's at ECR in a few months, which will also be a first for me, do bikes race there on the same weekend?
2 birds, 1 stone, would be great...

Round 8 of the Superbikes are at ECR on the 17th to 19th of August, back in the early 90s the superbikes used to be a support act for the v8s

Bike are definately better to shoot than cars, IMHO. I find them much more of a challenge than cars.
