I was determined to finish PP of the entire holiday before posting. But viewing these has made me want to share these. Comments, good bad and ugly appreciated. Taken with the D200 and 17-55 or Sigma 12-24 (thanks Glen).

I know that this next one isn't technically too good, shooting towards the sun, but it gave a great feel for exactly what we saw and with some gentle PPing it seems to me to have turned out ok:

Shame the balloon wasnt a little closer in the second shot. It would have been glorious. I love the rainforest peeking through

Some nice shots there. I went Balooning for first time this year in NZ on honeymoon. Really must sort those shots. You enjoy the champagne at end?

Nice work Geoff, did you get any shots before you too off, of them filling the ballons etc ?

Exactly what I thought when I saw this one. Love the wierd effect in the mist that you have captured. Well spotted Geoff.

Would love to try this one day too.

Cheers, Mick :) :) :)

Ghetto - many thanks, this was a brilliant experience - I thoroughly recommend it to anyone considering doing this :)

Willy - it is a bit of a shame but it was how it was - not much room in the basket (the tourist dollar working at it's best) to move around for different angles etc :)

Oloysius - it was great :) Thanks for the comments :)

Craig - sure did get quite a few other shots too, just haven't PP'd them all yet. Good weather for it today though huh? Oops you're in Boston, well it's raining here in Sydney town. Thanks buddy.

iposiniditos - thanks :)

Oscar - just do it - very worthwhile :)

The first one is fantastic. Especially considering the sun is almost smack bang in the middle of it.

#2 is the pick for me despite the distance the balloon is from the viewer - in some way it gives a nice sense of scale to that shot. I also like the counterbalance between the dark misty treeline and the lovely blues of the sky.

#3 is the weakest for me since I am obsessive about blown highlights
