A softer warm finish on this image seemed to be appropriate

I'm a bit ambivalent about this shot. I like it a lot compositionally but I think the warm is overdone in that it's unnaturally yellow. Oddly I have no problem with the exceptionally red poppies. I think this is a strong enough image to work with the need to push the colours this far.

I like the image compositionally, I too like the redness of the poppies, however I think this would be better as a selective colour B&W or more stark white instead of the warm tones.
The warmer tones give me a vibrant feeling rather than one of reflection and respect for those ANZAC's who lost their lives defending our great country.
Please note these are my feelings!

I like it, the yellow tone gives a warm feel to sad board.
I would have liked to get a nice cloe up of a name on the baord, with the rest vanishing into the DOF....
That being said, I'm in Canberra this weekend, so I might make an early morning visit to the memorial (or a late night visit).

Ww,
I looked at this image and saw something different.
Drop the light levels right down so the poppy's go Blood Red, the sunlight coming through the bars look like they are inprisoned
Great shot, but after a few beers and my imagination going a bit wild I saw it how it was
A lot of spilt blood & imprisonment
Sorry to bring down your warm image, but this is what I saw and what I believe happened to these poor souls.
Mic.

Took some of the comments on board guys (thanks for making the effort to let me know what you thought - I appreciate it) and had another go trying for a much moodier treatment, bringing out the red poppies and more contrast in the shadows.
