Hey guys :)

Was out at the rexnet/evolution oz private track day..

Kinda of a marque heads-up competition to see who could achieve the fastest times... cool idea!

Some of my faves here, C&C always welcomed :D

Kyle,
The 1st one is great with the pure white of the front row race cars against the dark and stormy clouds.
If you could PP the left hand side of the clouds to the same as the right it create quite a menacing look for the shot.
Great stuff mate. 8)

love the first one. Did you have one from a lower perspective to make them look a bit more aggressive?

As much as I love the STIs, I'm guessing the EVOs posted faster times?

I actually didnt get one from a lower perspective :( I had to get the shots i needed and move so another photographer could do his thing, just didnt think quick enough.

the 10-22 puts an interesting perspective on everything though :P

Evo was #1 for times, but the subies were not far behind at all, very very close!

First one is sensational Kyle! 4 is also good, 2 and 3 are a bit soft at the front of the car though. Congrats on the Fast Fours gig! :)

Finally nice to be paid for being at the track trent :D

2+3 a bit soft due to the 2x tc, and the very low light, poor 30d had a hell of a time trying to guess focus :(

Already started a savings fund for a 300 2.8 to combat this

Hi mate,

I saw these last night, but was very pushed for time and couldn't comment.

Number 1 is a top shot, nice and sharp, with the tones and contrast suiting the heavy sky. 2 & 3 are soft, but you have covered that. If the 30D is having troubles focusing in low light, try prefocussing, from the looks of the light though, your DOF may have been pretty shallow. What ISO???

The last image may have looked better having the driver kneel next to the front, or in the middle of the front, getting more of the vehicle, and engine bay in, rather than the shed.

Well done on the Fast Fours job, let us know when it's published and I'll even buy a copy.

Well done, good luck saving for a 300 F/2.8. While you're saving for it, so many other goodies will pop up. I would also have a second body on the short list.

:D

Thankyou very very much for your feedback alan :D It's recieved with much appreciation.

2 and 3 were iso200, f5.6 aperture (had 2x tc on, hence the softness)

Bloody paul in the last shot didnt really want to have his photo taken, but I made him! :D

Thankyou to all who posted, I appreciate your comments/crit :)
