i shoot a bit of bmx for a few mags,

was wanting a crit from people who dont usually check out bmx shots.

this shot was taken with a d70s, kit lens, sb600 on a pw to the left of the shot.

its pretty old for me (was still using the kit lens!), but i really like it... really nice simple lighting... a lot of the time im using 3 or 4 flashes!

it does look good, would be better if it was a tighter crop imo

Tighter crop and cloning of sensor dust and this will be a much better shot

I keep looking at the back wheel for some reason
it's unaturally bright compared to the front and probably rest of the bike. As you mentioned, due to the light on the left. I think that light should've been frontlit rather than sidelit like that. Personally, I think this sort of sports photography is better when you go right into the action with a wide angle lens (and a helmet)
