With leg 2 of our Harbour walk just around the corner I've taken a closer look at the crop from leg 1.

Here's a shot I like, but can't quite explain why. Maybe it's because the bridge isn't in the view... ;)

Brutal critique as always much appreciated!

Cheers

Brutal Stubbsy here steffen. I think the image has potential but don't like the conversion which, for me, is a bit flat tonally.

Thanks Peter, that's certainly something I can work on ;)

Looks kinda silvery to me, not very real for some reason. But the composition looks good, maybe it's just too many highlights in the tree?

That's what I was after, a svelte, metallic look for the buildings in the background. I tried to imitate the feel of images I saw in a 1960's book about what cities in 2000 would be like :D

About the tree, it does seem to have a glow to it that I didn't notice in Aperture. I can't imagine the jpeg conversion would be to blame for that. Maybe t'was a little late last night...

I like the silver treatment but the halo on the palm tree is very disturbing.
Composition wise I like it the roof at in the forground for some reason reminds me of a boat, like Noah's ark or something.
