i dont like the way youve tilted the camera off horizontal. it kind of feels like you are making average tricks look a lot better?

you got a nice exposure in both shots, though. did you use any flash?

i ride bmx, but know a lot of good skaters, i liked the feel of the photos, but i thought they were really cheapened by the fact that the tricks were kind of mediocre.

I think these are good but nowhere near as good as the first group you shot. Compositionally thay are lacking something (maybe it's the strong tilt adding to that) and they aren't as arresting at first glance either. Som suggestions:

#1 - are you taking a shot of the skater or the building  Get closer to your subject (but not too close, the building does add to the shot)

#2 - I think all you got wrong with this one is the steep angle.

I agree with Peter that the first could of done with being close to capture more of the skater. The second one I like, the angle is steep, but it works well, all you need now are some flashes at various angles to hit them with some dynamic lighting..
I'm sure you'll continue to love the 10-20 for skate work!

thanks for the tips guys, i didnt think these were as good as the others either. i also dont like how steep i made them, i kinda got a bit excited and went overboard  im going to give it another go on thuesday. Btw, he is a good skater, but the tricks are only mediocre, and i WAS trying to make them look better :)

something i didnt tell you though, was that these were quick digi test shots for one of my assignments (they are all done on b&w film) which is why i did the b&w conversion. i didnt tilt the assignment that much thank god
