Excellent runway shots. Clean and centered. No.1 is good but underexposed, I think. No. 2 the lighting concept as good, but not enough of it.

Post more.

Fab

1st one is good pose is o.k

but the bare feet really put off the elegance of the dress so it can be saved by re-cropping feet out

the stephanie conely runway shot is spot on great work

the Tina Kalivas shot is good because you got 2 models in there
but when shooting blacks you need to overexpose by 1 stop or just fix the brightness in post
either way all detail in her famed infra aparrel detailing has been lost in that shot and as a reult the fashin looks plain even though it wasnt.

Thankyou very much for your fabulous assistance it's much appreciated and i hope you learned a thing or two

post shots from Josh Goot, Nicola Fineti, Ksubi, Jessie Hill, Alex erry, Life with bird and camilla and Marc definately the highlights of Australian Fashion week, where are all those beautiful backstage reportage stuff?

Thanks,
I'll post more.
First 2 are pastel/moody

#1
I tryed to create a Light "Night atmosphere", dreamy/moody but not so sleepy.
I think if I was exposing it at the right light I was missing my target.
But you might be right.

#2
I liked the eye contact.

fab your welcome

you understand that fashion comes first the whole event was inspirational for Australian design

I watched the news and read the papers today and theres lots of crap about skinny models and short mini shift skirts
negative publicty the stuff that sells newspapers and gets ratigns on
TV, it's a shame the genral public only has this narrow view of the Australian fashion indusrty

but the way we saw it it was inspirational design and creativity and a lovely format, thats what i think should be publicised and celebrated

They're not underexposed, but they are dark.

Fab, the second needs better curves on the face to bring her out from the darkness. Similarly, the first needs better curves on the hair so her head doesn't blend into the darkness.

but when shooting blacks you need to overexpose by 1 stop
????......Why? Technically you should underexpose? I must be missing something Wendell. Can you elaborate?

hi maybe i got my terminology wrong

but most garmetns made out of cotton or some matte finish do not catch the light on the runway
if you ecpose for the face(white) usually the image is darker and because of this the blacks on the dress loose detail
hence thats why i say overexpose

if you look at most runway images of black garments you will see the face is normally overexposed thats the compromise runway photographer use to get as much detail out of a black dress

some nylons and latex materials catch the light
