A few from the weekend i like. Not many keepers at all though, not sure if it was my panning speed or camera shake that i blew so many. I'd love more than 3fps too, i missed some good stuff!

Cheers kyle :)

Burnin' Bob? i think you just invented a very suitable new nickname for him!

We'll have to get the word out..

I was hoping Jay would get a handle on that thing too, i love seeing it blast a good number.

I shot mostly at 1/500 or 1/400 with the T/F cars, lots more sharp shots but they're not as nicely panned as yours, Ill try and post some later. Bob's BBQ is unreal, another M4 pic?! :)

Edit: yeah the new Honda engine was disappointing. :( Looking forward to 200+ mph once he gets it sorted though. 8)

I thought it might have been you, but it didnt look like you, so i didnt go and say hello

I promised myself i'd leave my camera at home and enjoy the racing, i'm so glad that i did too :)

Yeah must have been MCWB you spotted, as odd as it is, i don't even own a white shirt (not sure why though).

I was around the same spot though, and tempted to shoot from the opposite side but there's way too many people on that side i think. I got around the sun messing up my metering by shooting in Manual mode for the first time instead of shutter priority, and it worked out great! I now love manual mode..

That's ok mate, no dramas. I tried to put the camera down as much as possible, only really shot Top Fuel and Bike. The problem was, anytime I put the camera down, something big would happen right in front of me! The doorslammer that played pinball near the end on Saturday night hit really hard right in front of us, when I was sitting back watching the action, hot chocolate in hand and not a camera in sight. Dammit!

Thanks BBJ :)

I must admit i find it hard to nail a good panning shot, and often get the sh1ts with the amount of good shots i manage to get out of focus! But i should improve with time :)

The viewfinder on the D70 is pretty small and not doing me any favors, and can't wait to step up to a D200 for a bigger viewfinder and some extra fps :)

Cheers, James.

I get very tempted to shoot at 1/500 to get some more clarity, but worried it might freeze the cars too much, and at night i don't have a choice, it's gota be 1/200 max and ISO 400 min, which kinda sux.

I was shocked to find some shots i took at 1250 ISO pretty clean because i got the exposure right, and some at 400 ISO looked worse because i underexposed them too much..So that confused me a little i gota say..
