Beautiful one day...

You know what they say about Queensland:
"Beautiful one day - perfect the next"

Here is proof. Living in Brisbane in the worst drought I can remember in the city (I know country folk have a much harsher time), I awoke this morning to the promise of rain.

And, almost to confirm the promise, I find this outside my back door:

Well spotted Trevor and nicely captured. There have been a couple this week. On Monday we had the full halo ie a complete rainbow circle while I was flying over head Albion (just past your unit) - very rare thing I think and of course I didn't have a lens with me wide enough to capture it - next time

Yes, the ones yesterday were excellent, and the one you describe sounds a beauty.
