Thanks for checking these out to round off the series......these have ALL had LESS post work (i am hearing ya all....lol)

With the arid landscape i wanted to create space and vertigo.....MOON anyone? (apart from levels and distortion - straight outa cam)
Image

Natural sunlight - slight adjustment to WB
Image

Tonal adjustment - thats it! (note the fog rolling in on the horizon)
Image

Colourization....not sure if it works - what do you think?

Thanks for your valued opinions....

Hey Dan, been a while since I've commented so I thought I'd go into detail
#1 I like the use of the Wide Angle, and the centred model, it has a moonscape feel to it (Thanks dawesy for the inspired name). I'm not a fan or what I think is a halo around the girl, and also I'd prefer a pose that shows more of her Right arm (kind of looks like she's almost an amputee) Perhaps more dynamic lighting on the model may of given this a little extra oomph.

#2 I like the naturally lit golden light, the pose works (althought again she's lost the right arm, but I'm ok with it here). Nice Eye contact.. the creases in the neck are a little off putting.

#3 To be honest Dan I really don't like this one, the pose is the biggest issue I have. the head tilt, her legs leading out of frame.. I'd have rather her be position into the frame and not such a wild angle with the head tilt.
I'm not overly keen on such an uneven exposure of the models body either... that said the background makes for a nice backdrop but this frame doesn't work for me

#4 Nice pose (I can see both arms, so I'm less nervous) I'd say the hint of undies isn't necessary and I'd be tempted myself to clon it out. Nice textured backdrop.. I'd like to see a colour version to compare but I think the selective colour isn't that out of place in this one.. particular it you were advertising Levis or something.

Hope that helps. In summary I like them in #2, #1, #4 and .. well #3 just feels wrong for me.

Anyone else, i am really interested in the last one, wether or not the colourization is a goer or not, as i am undecided?

Thanks in advance,

Dan

The colourisation doesn't really do it for me. Is the bikini top that blown out in the colour one? I would like to see it in colour. I really like the setting on the first one.

Second image is the only one that does it for me.

Your last image is a weak colourisation. The image is flat, the white blown out which is something you can't seem to stop doing, the blue is too intense and doesn't really have a reason to be there.

The image isn't all that a good image to start with but the lack of depth and strong curves really makes it unimpressive to say the least.

#2 is really the only one for me. Love the light, pose & location
#1 Model too vague & indistinct in the first one. Don't understand what the photo is trying to say.
#3 Awkward pose just doesn't do it for me.
#4 Cardboard cutout bikini top may work on SouthPark, but it doesn't here. Also Those eyes! Argh! PS I can critique them, but I'm blowed if I can take as good.
