Image

nikon d70, 10.5mm fisheye, sunpak 555 (to right of shot, base of stairs) and sunpak 383 (in shot) on pocketwizards.

i dig the lighting, exposure, but it has been suggested to me by a friend to try get a little closer, but in this shot i was holding the camera (away from my eye) about a meter away from the rail.

i think the shot could have also done with a third flash, just to kill the shadow on the stairs, its a little distracting

When I saw the title of the post i assumed this would be a landscape. When I saw the image I thought Dam he's close.....

If he came off there may well have been a SNAFU peg headed your way....

Nice photo James.

Just as a sugestion to assist with lighting. You can always try to use lights and generators as a cheaper alternative to get rid of those shadows and use the 2 flashes for the subject matter. I take a lot of skateboarding photos using this method and getting the right lights helps. It does the trick very well.

Cheers,
Bill
