The objects at the waters edge, catch my attention in the first shot, and are a little distracting. Are they "Bluebottles"? Maybe a lower perspective, with them taking up more of the foreground could help.

Posted: Wed May 23, 2007 2:22 pmSecond one is excellent, and I think the first would be a stronger image if the foreground was cropped to the water, or made into a panorama with the sky as the top third. Certainly worth getting up for to see!

I must say the coloured rocks in the original foreground of #1 are interesting, a lower shot (with the camera at sand-level) might produce something interesting including both the rocks and the sky. The colours complement each other!
