Whats wrong with these sunset pics ?

there's something missing and not quite right about them and i can't figure out what. C&C and suggestipns would be much appreciated to help me get it right. :)

Well, the sky looks great, but that's not really enough on its own to make an interesting image. They need some foreground interest. A human element, perhaps.

i think what you are saying is bascially they're boring.

Not boring at all . The colour looks fantastic and they are nice and crisp .If i had to be picky i'd say the portrait framed shots don't work as well as the landscape framed ones . This one below is my favorite

They are colourful, nicely framed by the trees (in some) and are typical sunset shots. There's nothing wrong with them per se, except the bit of lens flare in one.

i agree the portrait style ones aren't condusive to the subject but it was such an intensely textured sky, i wanted to get more of it and focus on a different tree in the distance for the silhouette.

autumn sunsets are just spectacular. gotta love our beautiful country.

thanks for the comments. :) they are all shot from my balcony at home and while the colour is spectacular, i think they need some more points of interest.
