Mrs Reschsmooth & I went for a walk around Dolboyd Reserve this afternoon, with some fantastic light.

C&C appreciated

This one was taken at 640 ISO, hence the noise!

This is a merge of two images for greater DR.

Thanks for looking

Second one is kind of mesmerising along with the grain-ish look.

#2 is terrific, very arty and visually appealing. It's a wall hanger in my opinion :)
cheers

Pat! An amazingly beautiful area indeed. I like the 2nd image the most of of the 3, despite the noise. This would look good on canvas. I was up at Dobroyd Head and a little further around at Grotto Point early on Friday morning trying to get a good pano. I've been up there 3 times now but have found it has been very weather/pollution/skill dependent.

On a side note, I will be putting up an EOI for the Spit Bridge to Manly walk for sometime in September (before it gets too hot). Some GREAT photo opportunities along the way.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Geoff, the Spit - Manly walk would be great. About 8 kms in total with great marina shots near the Spit to great vistas heading towards Manly.

#2 is a beauty. i love it. (is that a d200 you are using?)
#1 looks out of focus to me. the focus would have been better on the opened flower in the center. shame, cos the background is great.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, using a D200 and loving it :D

Here is a closer crop of no 1 - I had to hold the plant in the light with one hand and take the shot with the other, but I thought it was reasonably sharp.

Here are links to two other shots to which I applied some Alien Exposure filter (I downloaded the demo version). Just a bit of fun.
