An attempt at a B&W conversion, leaving the street lamp in its original colour state.

C&C welcome.

hmmm, impressive. I like the details. The detail in the bricks, complemented by the busy couds, I like the noise, and I think the little color left adds something.

I also like the white and black window dressing contrast!

Very cool the affect reminds me of M.C Eschers work (which I'm a big fan off). Can you walk us through the PP involved ?

Sure thing.
This is the original. Lots of noise, as it was taken just after dawn.
I needed to:
-do some perspective correction because I used a WA
-I did two level adjustments; one for the sky & one for the building (while the image was still in colour)
-b&w conversion
-some refinement of contrast
-sharpened the brickwork only
-added the light, which was merely copied from the original and pasted onto the b&w image

Thanks for your comments and interest.

This is a nice effect, although I think the bricks are too dark, that is probably it.
