Hi Daniel,

The problem with #1 IMO is there is not really any subject. Perhaps you could have focussed on the trees in the foreground.

#2 is an interesting shot, but again I'm not really sure where I'm meant to be looking.

#3 I think is the best shot from this set - pretty colours, interesting reflections, serene mood.


By the way, where is Burleigh Heads? Oh and welcome.

Hi Daniel I really like shot No 1. Focus or lack of set this shot. Colour is good framing is as well. Keep up the good work. Just remember it doesn't matter how many shots you take its what pleases yourself and these are a big step in the right direction.

Burleigh Heads is about 15 minutes south of Surfers Paradise (thats the city on the skyline in shots 1 and 2).

I guess I like to get the audience of my photography to hunt around my shots and look hard for what the subject is, rather than just flick over the shot quickly and move on. Honestly, there is no intended subject here. I was more interested in capturing the mood and lighting in the landscapes.
