I'd be interested to see what you guys think about this. I've had a hard time being objective about it, but I do like it, in a way.

I'm really unsure about the whole sun-in-the-image thing though? Too hot? Not right?

I can't see the second one unfortunately, but in #1, I think the sun really dominates this image too much for me. I see what you're saying about the image still having some appeal, but I can't help but think that if you'd waited a few more minutes and gone for a longer exposure, it would have been improved.

Where was this taken? Looks like a beautiful place.

I find both images are outstanding....... love the first one because it is a little different for what you see as a sunset...... just great

I agree with big pix! The first picture is extraordinary and it begs believe it is a real picture and not a painting. It is touching the surreal. The second one is also impressive in its own right, but not next to each other.

#1 is awesome. that is a hdr right ?
love the dynamic range of it. i like the dominant sun personally.

I like how the sun dominates to the point where the sky appears dark. yet the ground is still lit up.

The second image is nice but not next to the first. a little hazy but still a beautiful photo.

Both pretty awesome I do like #2 better though with the red tones
