...... up up away, I have only just started to shoot moving birds so I thought I would start with something a bit on the slow side and easy......shot aperture priority, 1250s f8 80-200 Non VR nikon, hand held. These are full frame with no cropping......

I like them. Takes me back to my early teens killing time around Lake Macquarie and fishing in tinnes etc. Would love to see more, particuly a few head on landings!

Shots are nice and sharp given the action involved, particularly like the splashes left behind.

Bernie - well done. I absolutely love shots of birds in flight, landing and take off. You have the lot: movement, reflection and great colours

i was waiting for a landing series, but this was the only big bird around, so take off it was....... but I will keep trying along with waiting for whales and dolphins playing in the surf.......
