Hope it isn't too early to post these shots - they in no way resemble anything close to my entry in terms of style or subject!

I had an idea for the challenge involving coffee (even though a few people here know me for my passion about coffee and may have picked my entry) and the idea didn't work.

Anyway, here are two of the pics I was considering, PPed more than I would have done for the challenge.

C&C welcome.

By the way, these were taken at Mecca, King St, Sydney - highly recommended cafe.

Damn nice shots Patrick, would of been good for the Creme challenge if you could add a human element int here aswell.

Thanks guys

Craig, for the Crema challenge, I had actually thought of taking a photo at least at this cafe if not similar to these, however, I couldn't make it into the city during the challenge period.

Coffee was damn nice too

cheers

Patrick

I find the first shot a little busy with the reasonably bright background distracting me from the foreground. #2 on the other hand is superb - right down to the ray of light coming in diagonally across the shot to draw your eye to the cup.

Thanks for the comments.

Peter, I understand what you mean. I tried to desaturate the top part to balance placing the coffees in a cafe context without the environment overpowering the subject. Perhaps not enough?

Blacknstormy - I feel like a coffee too, however, my local options for quality coffee are not great, and I have run out of coffee at home :(

Cheers
