Run aground

I have been absent from here for ages , firstly travelling around Oz and then getting back into uni. I haven't taken a photo since uni started back up in Feb, so a big ship washed up on the local beach sounded like a good reason to get back into it. Here is my take on the ship, handheld (forgot tripod) at low light this morning.
Hopefully this will be the kickstart I needed to get back out and take some photos.

Very nice indeed Ben. Like the sunrise colours and reflections off the beach. Would look cool even without the beached whale.

I agree. this is a great shot. The colour and reflections are very good.
Could I ask what the settings were please?

Thanks for the encouragement everyone, it was good to get out early and see the sunrise again. Settings were kit lens handheld, 1/40 at f4.5 shot in Raw, levels, curves and cropped in CS. I forgot my tripod so had to wait for the light to be good enough to handhold.

Ben, I was there this morning too.
Wasn't bad, but probably the poxiest sunrise I've got out of bed for.

I thought I saw you but wasn't sure. Yeah if it wasn't for the enormous ship the sunrise would not of been to crash hot, especially after all those beers last night!
By the way what year are you in now? Still enjoying it?

3rd year now.
Still good, but much more work this semester. Exams in a week.
Then next semester I'm off to Katherine for HES, and Moree for regional rotation.
