Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Left early for work this morning in the hopes of getting some good fog shots. Two dogs playing in the sea. C&C welcomed. Click for larger version.

A rather minimalist shot... but still quite pleasant. I like it a lot.

There will be a lot who do not like this but I really do. A slightly tighter crop may have been better.

Normally i tell people to get in close to your subject, but what you've done here works fantastically.

Well done, great image.

I like the idea, I am a big fan of empty space, but to me the dogs are a bit to small. IMO if you were a little closer it would have worked better.

But 3 points for getting out of bed early in the fog

I think if you had zoomed in on the dogs a bit more you still could have portrayed a sense of space and also shown more detail in the dogs. I however like the fact that you tried something different.

This is a great example of the power of negative space. It really needs to be printed nice and large so some of its impact is lost here at the smaller image size. Well done.

When I first looked at this I thought the dogs are too small. I do, however, agree with Peter's comments about making a large print out of it - that would make it work very well. I think for an on screen image you do need to crop it tighter.

I love this photo - beautiful empty space and a simple story.

Well done.

The more I look at this photo, the more I like it. It doesn't need any changes, just print it large, as suggested.
