50mm F1.8 ManualHere is a shot taken quite some time ago with the above lens on my D70, took about 5 images the same as the exposure was shoot adjust etc as there is no metering with the munual lens on the D70.

I love the subject but feel that the background and fern share similar colours. I feel with a greater contrasting background it would make the fern pop out from the image.
I'm with Matt. I think it's great, though it looks a bit noisy. High iso?

The background is actually a slated timber fence about2m behind the fern.
It was shot at iso 200 so not sure what has caused the grainy look thanks for the comments Cheers Rod
