Love to get some feedback on this one. Setup was one softbox at floor level (her RHS), with a difuser under it for bounce, a white/silver reflector (her LHS). Shot overhead on a small ladder.

Interested to get POSITIVE and 2 NEGATIVE comments from each. Asking a lot, I know...

+ Like the lighting and angle of it, I think it works really well for her pose and laying on the floor. Highlights the lines of her cheekbone on her right too.

+ I also like the floor board angle to her body as well as the texture the grain gives compared to her smooth skin.

- Not sure on the necklace, don't see the point of it and it crowds from the bra to her face. If you wanted to highlight it I would have chosen a different colour for the bra to allow it (the necklace) to stand out more.

- Not sure about where you've cut the bottom half off, seems a little to low or too high to me personally.

As an aside, I think this would be an interesting shot if you cut it off at about hip level and she was nude (or at least a close to flesh coloured t-shirt style bra with no patterns etc), and the texture of the floorboards bought out more. The contrast between her smooth skin and the grain would be interesting to see.

WB and tone seems much better too!

thanks very much, great feedback.

I thought the same on the left side crop, I will try just a little higher, perhaps halfway up the waistband.

I'll have a try tonight at seperating the floor in a seperate layer, and bring out the floorboards.

Hi

+ Great pose
+ Beautiful lighting

- It just looks a bit too busy her chest with all her necklace
- On the right top, on the floor boards, there is a join! also near her hip.

Thanks for sharing

i really like this shot mate!

although i can't quite put my finger on why :P

i think a little less cropped around the lower half would work better, and you could probably lose the necklace as its just distracting.

she reminds me a whole heap of Christina Aguliera... so hot!

I pretty much agree with byrt_001.

Also a positive, her skin colour seems much more natural in this shot.

Nice work.

I like this shot because it is simply different. It has good lighting, excellent angles, and a very pretty model with an enigmatic look at the camera.

I prefer it to the nude one because the model seems more relaxed. I haven't got any experience on this kind of photography so I can only guess it might be difficult to develop trust when the model may feel so vulnerable.

For what it is worth I believe that this second picture is better than the first one and a bit classier too. It could be used for a lingerie ad because it invites to gaze.

thank you, I agree with you.

THis is not an easy look to achieve, and as you said, model comfort is key to getting the "relaxed" look. I find you can see in the shoulders, different levels of comfort, and also the impact to the pose. The comfort levels (also of photgrapher) improve after working together a few times.

I like the simplicity of the tight crop implied nude, but the relaxed pose of this one (although the necklace and bra add too strong contrasts to the skin tones).
