More Fugu

Here is another pufferfish. This guy's scientific name (Arothron nigropunctatus means black-spotted buffer, but I prefer the other common name, dog-face puffer.

Unfortunately, this is one of many fish whose colour patterns make it difficult to make the shot look sharp.

Great shots Andrew,

I like the second one better as there is a great sense of movement in the fins.

That is the weirdest fish I have ever seen. To my untrained eye it looks like a hybrid, the face of a cow, the body of a dalmation dog and the tail of a seal. Great shot anyway

great shots ATJ..... i assume because of their colour they habitat that whitish environment.

Pa,

Being toxic, they can pretty much be any colour they want. They live on coral reefs, floating over a background of all sorts of colours. I have never seen them try to blend in.
