Ice carving in Tassie

Well it was definately cold enough for it, top of 8 degrees today (and loving it).

Interesting series Dave.
I quite like the close up (first one) and the close crop of the third one. Do they use your run of the mill chainsaws or are they specific for ice? Intriguing stuff :)

from what I could tell, they are just your everyday Stihl Chainsaw.

#1 and #3 really do it for me. Do you have any others of the final product? It would be interesting to see how much detail they have.

It is quite amusing that a few other people like the two I do.

Number 1 is the standout here for me. And I really like the closeness and blurred chain on the third.

I have a lot of respect for the artists that do this sort of sculpting!
