Red-Bellied Black Snake(s)well.... I've done about all I can for Chameleons at Taronga, so I thought I'd return to probably my favourite animals at the zoo - the Red-Bellied Black Snakes.
Shot once again with the K10D but this time with a cheap (yet rather handy) Sigma 70-300mm (with macro function!). <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/61147501@N00/622185482/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1092/622185482_1f30372f58.jpg" width="500" height="334" alt="zIMGP1991" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/61147501@N00/622185506/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1086/622185506_8149f35b53.jpg" width="335" height="500" alt="zIMGP1986" /></a> I like the one above mainly because if you look at full resolution the snake's eye below, you can *just* make out me in the reflection (I've got my elbows up on the ledge holding the camera steady). <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/61147501@N00/622227142/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1107/622227142_ef73409d29.jpg" width="500" height="334" alt="zIMGP1986reflect" /></a> ... and the last (and blurriest, and most highlight-blown!) in the series: <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/61147501@N00/622185688/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1038/622185688_b2bf8206bc.jpg" width="500" height="335" alt="zIMGP1960b" /></a> Pentax istDS+K10D.
