Firstly, be nice. This was my first go at fill flash with a SB-600 attached to the camera.

Sun position was generally to the left or behind the subject to the left.

Comments very welcome.

Shot in iTTL with BL (oh and FP but all were held under 1/250th with aperture), Manual, Matrix metering metered for the sky.

I'm thinking a tighter crop will work on this better, the flag went limp :P

They warmed up their leathers, but couldn't wait to get out of the sun!

Contemplating the race ahead.

Good shots Brett, fill flash is a must at some events like this when the sun is harsh and you have done well here.
Well done.

Thanks! Appreciate the feedback. Was no where as easy as I thought it would be, mind you it wasn't as hard as I thought either. Still lots to learn though.

great shots brett!

i think its one of those things that once you know what works and what doesn't it'll become second nature to you and it'll all be easy!

now all i need is a few of those girls to hold an umbrella over me when im shooting out in the sun and i'll be set ;)
