I think that the lemon is a little too dominant in the image, but that's just MO.

Excellent use of both controlled DOF and colours to offset the mouth watering image.

Hi everyone

thanks for your comments,

Geoff: I have to agree with the lemon, unfortunately i was having only a few seconds to shoot a few frames of a few dishes. The waiter hold the plate before he took it to the customer.:shock: :D

Rod: the nikon d2xs on manual, and sb800 off camera. The photo has the exif data. The flash was an angle almost 12 o'clock on top. So I was holding the flash with my left hand and the camera with my right.

I really like the shot but I definitely find the lemon too dominant, I think a brighter sky would have worked nicely too, but that is just nitpicking. The shot is great!
