Okay,

got a few more from the trip. The last few days of the trip were actually spent in the Gammon National Park.

First night we camped in the Italowie Gorge. This is what we were presented with:

I used HDR for this one. However, the cliffs were that red with the sunrise. I also did leave it a bit darker then I could have because that is really how I remembered it. Sometimes HDR can make it too "bright".

Creeks in that region are really dry. With the roo paw print and some green growth, I thought it should work, let me know.

As the day got sunnier, a lot of times I would switch to my Tamron 90mm macro lens. I found this pod on the trail. Can't remember what it is.

Trail on the the way to Grindells Hut. The land here is very barren.

C&C appreciated,

cheers,

André

That last one there is wonderful Andre - you've gotta be pleased with that! Sums up the appearance and feeling of the Gammon Range nicely :)

Looking forward to catching up with you at some stage to talk about this trip.

Nice images. I really should check out more of the Flinders..

Btw did you use Linux tools for the HDR conversion?

Sheepie, I do like that last one :D and I'll be at the AW so we can catch up there.

Mark, sorry, didn't use Linux but the Mac with the Photomatix software. Great software for HDR.

All good Andre.

I agree with the others - #4 is a stand-out. Very nice colours. A well composed landscape.

Cheers, Mick :) :) :)

The dried mud does it ror me Andre. The roo prints add to the story I think.

The second shot is superb and shows a great eye for detail and composition. #4 isn't too shabby either - fantastic aussie landscape.
