To be honest, while the image is greate in almost every respect, I find it a little TOO soft.

Peter - I felt that the softness was an advantage of this style of photograph, but I do appreciate your honest feedback.

I'd like to see it in colour.
I'm quickly starting to realise that I'm not all that fond of B&W.

Babies are so mesmerising. Very nice, Geoff. I like both versions. Don't think it's too soft.

Yes... I prefer the colour... a lot more.
I agree with the others that it could do with a small amount of sharpening. Some softness is required, but it has a bit much.
