Taronga portraits

Yesterday was a wonderful day (weather-wise), so I took the kids to Taronga zoo. As it so happened, I had my camera with me

I like taking only a single lens occasionally, this time it was the 300/f4. This obviously ruled out a whole range of shots, which made the afternoon pleasantly relaxing. I didn't bother with a monopod either. The light was harsh, and the yield was slim, but here are a few portraits I don't mind:

Tall poppy:

Sad zebra. It was just standing there all the time, didn't move or eat like the others. It must have had something on its mind:

Asiatic elephant. The kids liked those:

Cuddly snow leopard:

What do you think?

Cheers
Steffen.

The Zebra and the Snow Leopard are my favourites. Who knew a Zebra had whiskers?
