this fellow was taking a few images of the surfers with this gear....

600mm f4, d2x....300mm f2.8, d2x.....

he said they were worth about $37000.

i didn't see any of his shots but his gear was pretty impressive...

if he was able to interpret what the surfer's was about to do...

Make that 3...

$37000 gears with a <200 tripod combo... :shock:

I wouldn't put my expensive and heavy stuff on that thing...

I would be quite happy to borrow on a long term basis the D2X + Nikkor 600mm f/4, then I could go 'BIG CAT' shooting in Africa
