...... Just goes to show that there are other things here to shoot other than Birds...... a quick shoot to test the 50mm 1.8 before I used it on a corporate shoot.....

Both of these were shot at Bateman's Bay very early this morning

Thanks Steve.......

I am just PP the corporate shoot that was shot with this lens....... I applied a little unsharp mask, and the images were so sharp they made all the other shots with my 80-200 2.8, look a tad ordinary, but these were very good also...... so no unsharp mask, and they still are very sharp..... I will do some shots over the weekend with said lens, as I cannot post the shots taken today

I have a feeling I have found a new walkabout lens...... very sharp, and very fast......

Remember to walkabout with it on Saturday for Timesnap #2 at noon.

Nice pics Bernie, it is also a good lens for birds but you have to really sneak up on them

Bernie - great shots. BTW: Mogo Zoo (Private) is north of Bateman's Bay. I am sure you will find some birds in there, otherwise catch up with my best friend's the 'BIG CATS' :)

Radar..... thanks ......and thanks for the reminder, I forgot,........ I am getting some gum boots to make sneaking up on birds easier with the 50mm.......

......thanks fozzie, but I have not been to the Zoo as yet, but I have made a friend of Jonathan Poyner, who does a lot of work for the Zoo. We chase birds together and lots of other pixs........

Bernie - I would be very interested to get an idea from somebody in the know, regarding quality of animals, mainly 'BIG CATS' as I am contemplating a driving holiday there in the April/May next year. Whatever you can find out I would be very appreciative of.

I have to admit that my 50mm 1.4 Ais spends more time on my camera these days than any other lens :)
