This winter has been bizarre as far as the weather goes. Lots of very strong westerly winds which has meant no flying on 2 out of 3 days but when it has been flyable the visibility has been absolutely spectacular. The last 2 mornings we have been able to see Double Island Point from Brisbane - a distance of over 200 km. Until yesterday I hadn't seen visibility like that in 20+ years of flying balloons around Brisbane.

For a moment I thought you must work in a really tall building. Pretty cool job you've got flying balloons.

I'd love to say I wasn't this silly.... But I thought exactly the same thing.
Great pics Steve. Is that the Glasshouse Mountains in the distance? If so, it sure must have been a clear day!

Very tall building - about 1500 feet with a transparent section between floors 3 and 99
The mountains in the distance are to the south, Barney, Lindsay and Flinders Peak.
