Tamiya?

Nice tank.

I used to find brushing the model with dirty turps would give the model a muddy look.

I've been out of the 'game' for many years, so I thought I would throw "Tamiya" out there to try to pass myself off as knowledgable - it seldom works

I did have, a couple of years back, a Tamiya 1/16th Tiger tank that was radio controlled. A lot of fun :)

I'd be tempted to take that one back Chris, it's got a few dents and holes in it. :)

Still, it looks quite nice. Taken from the angle the Russians would have seen at that time. Although the Germans certainly know how to build eye appealing tanks and still do.

What about having the rifleman [or even the tank turret] pointing straight down the barrel of the camera? Might look cool! ;)

before the image loaded up, I thought it was going to be a picture of the real thing.

My Dad drives a 1949 Willy's army Jeep (civilian model - no machine gun mount - sold to farmers etc towards the end of the war), and a guy who lives around the corner from him drives an old armoured troop carrier.

The neighbour even parks it under a tree and puts camouflage netting over it.

In another, slightly more related story, I know a guy who during the war was part of an experimental tank division. His job was to sit in the machine gunners seat with a flame thrower and burn people. He's got some serious mental/emotional problems now, he's never been the same since.
