Finally got around to getting a prime lens. Took it up to the park with the kids and grabbed a few images. It took a little while to get used to not having the zoom to play with. It's a little grainy...had been mucking around with the iso and forgot to set it back

Good image there... its nice and natural and defintley one for the family album... I don't mind the grain... in fact I think it adds to the shot personally... it could have been boosted with a tiny bit of fill flash just to lift her eye's....but then again its not all that hard to add catchlights etc in pp either... so its all good..

Thanks for the tip re catchlights Bindii. I will play with that later.

Nice, I have always liked the 50mm prime.

I kinda regret selling mine now... the 50mm f1.4 was great leans to have in the camera bag.
