My first sporting event with the 5D, 70-200 F2.8 IS and the 1.4x Tele. Here are two images I thought came out well! It was HOT as hell! I'm really happy with the kit, need to work on a few things as they are not perfect! Hope you like em

Our seats sucked because the ones we ordered didnt arrive in time. With 270mm I think about 400mm would have been perfect get the ones I wanted so I moved around the stadium trying for shots with what I had

Ah, Yankee Stadium. It used to be a lot easier to get good seats there, but they have been playing consistently well enough over the last 5 or 6 years that it is very difficult unless you book months ahead. In mid-2000, I bought tickets on the day of the game from a Yankee Clubhouse in White Planes and ended up with seats behind home plate. Later that same year (towards the end of the regular season) I tried the same thing and ended up behind right field - almost into the "welfare" seats.

I love the shot of the pitcher - Andy Pettitte, too. Did you get any action shots of him?

That's a pity.

Did you root, root, root for the home team? :P

How did the audience participation during the Anthem compare to that during "Take me out..."? I haven't been to a ball game in the US since before 9/11. Back then, there was definitely more participation for "Take me out...". One Durham Bulls game I saw in the early 90s the electronic scoreboard was broken so they couldn't put the words up. Almost no-one sang along to the Anthem, but there was full participation during the 7th Inning Stretch.

Well, cause we had ticket dramas we missed that and the first 5minutes. Of course I root for the Yankees :P I even had locals asking me questions I didnt have answers to. I usually responded with, oh didnt see that sorry :)

It was a great vibe, packed stadium but hot as hell. I loved it and would go back this time with better seats!

Definitely! Even if you don't like the game, the atmosphere at a game is electric and there are plenty of things to look at and listen to: "Beer! Beer! .... Beer! Beer!". "Cotton candy! Get your cotton candy!".

It is also very good when the home team is winning. 8) If they don't win, it's a shame.

Hip Hip Jorge! Is my response to the first one ;)

Lucky bugger, there are two fields I want to visit...

1) Yankee Stadium
2) Fenway Park

And the funny thing is I go for the Yankees and my wife the Red Sox :D
