Freemantle Sunset

Hi All,

It has been a while since I posted here, but finally got some time for photography during my recent trips to California and Perth.

This shot was taken in Fremantle last week. I would appreciate any constructive feedback on how I could improve it. If you click on it, it should open at higher res.

My specific issues with this picture are:
1) May be too dark??
2) I hate pics with the horizon at centre. I was hoping the post in the water would offset the balance enough. Did it work?

Thanks.

Nice shot, (WA has amazing sunsets) but seems unbalanced? Maybe less water or vice versa would be good? (Rule of thirds?)
Its almost too cluttered (with boats) for my liking? What about cropped into a landscape?

Very nice! I think it works as is... possibly worth cloning out the pole in the water on the LHS. Might unbalance the photo... otherwise might work.

Thankyou

I appreciate your thoughs guys. was too scared to get rid of the post. Landscape might work though.

In the last 24 hours, this image has shot to the top of my interestingness group on Flickr. I think I have some much better photos, but obviously there is something popular about it. Maybe it looks good as a thumbnail and attracts attention?

Thanks again.
