Bindii, you are such a heathen!
Drag racing is great, smelly, oily smoke everywhere, screaming engines.... It's ALL good! Your images are really good. Is this the first time you've shot Drags? I'd avoid using motion blur for a PPing effect, as it 'moves' forwards and backwards. The bike image looks like he's going in reverse. Your images are nice and sharp, with a good shutter speed, so I wouldn't have bothered with the motion blur anyway. Nice colour and contrast levels. Number 2 is a standout, very very good. You could likely sell a poster print to the driver.... Number three shows off your dust bunnies. Above the white tower, and between the two buildings. Nice images! 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc

Good old Willowbank..
I really like these, especially 2 & 4. Nice work ![]() And the best thing about the Drags, is a Fuel motor warming-up, revving, and spitting Nitro at everyone causing their eyes to water severely. Love it. Nikon D70

Great Images, although I agree about not using the Motion blur..
As for you not liking shooting it - Never mind - more room for the rest of us "boys" who really love the smell of Avgas and Nitromethan in the morning - :p
Don't worry, I was inhaling enough fumes for both us gals on the day LOL. Gawd and here is the same gal that loves navigating in the jet sprint boats, getting covered in grime and muddy water etc. Gees Bindii!
Top shots Sue, despite that weird haloing mentioned above.
I'm into motorsport but that's limited to the WRC and Formula 1 circuses. Call me a snob but I find the rest a bit of a ....(wait for it)..... drag. ![]() Simon

The last one is excellent, and I'm not even remotely a fan of this kind of photography.
Well done! Alex

Bindii you should leave motorsports photography to the blokes... ![]() Seriously, though, these are terrific shots. I can't believe you just walked up there and did this for the first time... Cheers Steffen. lust for comfort suffocates the soul
