Day at the GGs

I'm not into horse racing as such but I love the beasts and managed to sneak down to the annual Coffs Cup races today and fire the shutter a few times. Here's the results:

Smashing shots.. I know from experience how difficult it is to get these ones just right... but you've nailed it I think...:)

Thanks Bernie and yes Sue, these shots are exceptionally hard to capture as the blighters are moving so fast, there's only a few secs to focus, compose and shoot as many shots as possible. There are usually only a certain amount of keepers with high speed sport shots, but that's what 5 FPS and 30D are all about! :)

D2Xs is good....... catches moving subjects very well...... but as usual good capture

gaffa tape [or 100k per hour racing tape] will not hold your favourite canon lens on the Nikon...... pity....... as I want the new, not yet released, Nikon....... we could have done a deal,,,,, or maybe 2 layers of tape :shock: :lol: :lol:

OK, I'll just have to settle for a new Mk III Canon then, have to sell another one of the kids though... :)
