My first attempt - be gentle.. I wanted it dark and moody, emphasizing the brilliance of the light through the window.

I think you've done a fantastic job.. waaaaay better than anything I managed to get while I was there.... its not quite dark and moody though.. but it looks warm and inviting.. and the light coming through the window and spilling onto the floor adds a nice touch also.. there is loads of detail in the brickwork too...

I likes it.... :)

Thanks Sue - appreciate your comments!
I might try desaturating the pillars and just leaving the centre colouring.

Hi Manta,

if I may, I hope I'm not hijacking your thread: here is the ceiling of a Cathedral in Frankfurt.
Doohhh, the dude on the right side may be me, (these wide angle 12-24 mm, you gotta watch them  )

That's pretty trippy Christian!

Bit too light and..well...PINK for my normal tastes as far as Cathedrals go but I know Germany's got it's fair share of dark sombre architectural masterpieces too.

I love it Simon,
Yeah the window is blown out but the overall cast with the green shadow looks great! :D 8)

Like the photo but being a church with a long tunnel and a bright light at the end I was wondering if St Peter was waiting at the end for me! Stay away from the light!

I doubt he was waiting for me Ben.... unless it was to say "I think you missed the turnoff."

Fantastic Simon. I love the texture in the brick.
